Mayte is a professional in the communications sector, where she has worked for the past 30 years. Her experience includes the design of communication plans for national, international and pan-European companies in many industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, distribution, food and consumer products, finance, insurance, science, tourism, telecommunications, high-tech, etc.. She has worked in campaigns that have lasted more than five years for Nokia, IBM, Lilly, Honeywell, Iberia, Repsol, Telvent, General Electric, Ford; and more than ten years for Hertz, Kodak, Axa, Lego, Zespri ...
She founded PR agency Poweraxle in 1992, which has ranked number one in client satisfaction in a survey by a Spanish consultancy. She started working in the public relations sector at Burson Marsteller, where she held various positions for 10 years until becoming deputy manager. She had previously worked in a leading radio station as a journalist for 5 years.
Mayte holds a master's degree in Corporate Communication from the University of London and 3 BA in Sociology, Political Science and Journalism from Complutense University in Madrid (Spain)
She has been member of the board of ADECEC (Spanish Public Relations Companies Association) for 10 years (2007-2017). For IPREX (a worldwide network of 110 independent PR agencies) she was EMEA President (2014-2016) and President for Business Development Worldwide (2016-2017).
She currently teaches in several Spanish universities and business schools.
